I haven't done an update in awhile, so I figured Brady's 15 month milestone would be as good a time as any!

I can't believe our Brady Joe is 15 months. I still remember every detail of his birth like it was yesterday. I literally just blinked and now he is this tiny human with a huge personality.

Brady weighs 23 lbs and is 31 inches tall, about the 45%tile for both. And he has 10 teeth!! He just had his 15 month checkup and is growing on the right track! We had a little scare a couple months ago with Brady's heart. He tends to have blue lips and nail beds after waking up in the mornings and after nap times, so of course we went to Texas Children's Hospital to get it checked out. We didn't want to take any chances, especially with my history! But thankfully, our boy's heart is strong and healthy! He is having this issue basically just because of poor circulation, and the cardiologist says he will grow out of it.

Our boy LOVES to talk (yay!!) and has such a big vocabulary! His daycare teacher says he's the most expressive in his class and says more words than the older kiddos. His language development has just really taken off! So proud of my star speech student! Brady stills points to everything he wants, but now he uses his words and also signs for certain things. His daycare has taught him "aqua" (water) and "bravo" (well done) in Spanish - so now every time he claps, he says "Bravo!".

I love hearing what kids come up with to name certain objects or animals, and it's been so fun seeing what Brady decides to call things. He calls our dog, Biggio (like Craig Biggio), "Bo-bo" and it's hilarious. He also calls our other dog, Colbie, "Bee". He says "oosh" for shoe, "ish" for fish, "cuck" for truck, "me" for milk, and the best one yet, "nana" for his paci. Nana was supposed to be my mom's grandma name, but thanks to a game she played with him and his paci, he now calls his paci "nana".

On a side note: we are working towards getting rid of the paci and we are STUCK! He only takes it at bedtime and the occasional nap time (like when we are in the car), and I just don't know how to take it away for good. I'm honestly scared, because I know he is going to put up a fight at bedtimes.

Brady is pretty obsessed with animals and the noises they make. He calls chickens "bock-bocks" and he call cows "moo-moos". He is also super obsessed with books and story time. I have been training him since day one to love books, so I'm so glad he is into it. At daycare they have story time throughout the day where they all sit in a circle and listen to their teacher read a book...and I love to watch on the video cameras during those times because he is the first one to sit down in the circle and he's always in the front of the group on the mat. And he stays SO engaged!

He still loves playing peek-a-boo - it's a nightly occurrence during dinner time with his hands covered in food. He also loves giving hugs - it's the sweetest thing and my heart melts every single time. Brady has also discovered Mickey Mouse and is a big fan...especially of Mickey Mouse Clubhouse.

Brady likes: animals & animal noises, Mickey Mouse, all the books, talking all day everyday, his dogs, balls, desserts (& dippin' dots), Mr. Potato Head, and peek-a-boo.

Brady dislikes: stuffed animals and fruit (unless it's freeze dried...).

Some of my favorite moments with my little buddy are when we are getting ready for the day before I leave for work, and when I put him to sleep at night. Brady is such a morning person - I have no idea where he got that from!! (Eric & I pretty much hate mornings) - so in the mornings, we laugh and talk while I change him and he loves to smile, putting me in the best mood! And at night, he loves to wrap his little hand around my neck while we rock, along with playing with his hair (a tell-tale sign that he is tired, which he got from me) and playing with my hair. He also pats my back when he hugs me sometimes and I just melt. I wish I could bottle up these moments forever.

Brady Joe is such a light! He is happy, friendly, full of joy, social, curious, smart, stubborn, and so incredibly kind-hearted.

We are so thankful for our happy and healthy boy!
