Brady turned 6 months old two days ago!!

Just for fun...

He weighs 16 1/2 lbs, is 27 1/2 inches long, and his head circumference is 17 inches. He is still in size 2 diapers (about to move up to size 3) and he has moved up to 6-9 month clothes. He has his 2 bottom teeth and eats about 2 meals of solids per day and takes bottles about every 3-4 hours. So far Brady has tried peas, carrots, sweet potatoes, avocado, squash, green beans, banana, apple, and prunes. He LOVES avocado, prunes, peas, and sweet potatoes. He HATES carrots and pears. He also had his first taste of lemon this month! He made a funny face at first, but in the end he actually liked it. Definitely my son! We are about to move on to baby food that has a mixture of different fruits/veggies in it.

Lemon face

Brady rarely naps and when he does, it's only for like 15-30 minutes at a time. It's a really big deal if he sleeps for more than 30 minutes at naptime. He has learned to stick out his tongue (it's super cute, but I doubt it's something I should encourage...), he knows his name, he reaches for mommy and daddy (I melt every single time), and he sits with assistance. I think he is going to skip rolling over. He has rolled a few times from front to back, but just seems totally uninterested in rolling from back to front. He would much rather try to crawl or sit up and watch everyone. Plus, he still hates tummy time...

He had his 6 month checkup yesterday and the pediatrician gave him a clean bill of health! He just had some routine vaccines and got his flu shot. Over the last month he has had pink eye, a cold, and an ear infection. So I have been super paranoid about his ears (especially being a speech therapist), but the pediatrician assured me they look good.

Brady likes: light up toys, Colbie (more so than Biggio), his jumper (spends about an hour or 2 hours in it total per day!), talking (more like yelling at nothing), chewing on his fingers, his daycare teachers, wearing his sunglasses, cartoons, and rides in the stroller.

Brady dislikes: the Nose Frieda, having his nose (or face) wiped, and biting his hands with his new teeth.

One tooth...

Two teeth!

Our Brady boy is happy, healthy, and loves his mommy and daddy! We are obsessed with him and are so thankful for our baby boy.

PS...is it bad I already have a Pinterest board for his first birthday party? ;)
