Better late than never, right?

With everything else going on, I totally forgot to do a blog update on Brady!

BRADY IS TWO! Seriously can't believe I have a two year old...

We had a farm themed birthday party for his 2nd birthday (duh!) and it was a big hit. We did it out at my parent's place because they got him a real life petting zoo. It was amazing.

Brady weighs 28 lbs (35th%tile) and is 33 inches tall (90th%tile). And he has 17 teeth (which is why he had to start getting regular teeth cleanings)!

Our big boy can speak in 3-4 word sentences, talks nonstop, recite his ABC's and his numbers (1-10), and sings songs from Coco and the toddler Pandora station word for word. I love that he can actually tell me what he wants or needs - all that speech path grad school paid off!

We do have to work on his fine motor skills though. He doesn't need an occupational therapist right now, but we have to practice a few fine motor activities so he won't need therapy later on. We started potty training and working on using pull ups. This past year we also found out that Brady is legit allergic to mosquitos. So long summer nights on the patio...

Brady likes: dancing, singing, all the cars, "playing" guitar, all his cousins, books, baseball & football, pigs, dinosaurs, "running" with mama (in the stroller), giving fist bumps, Youtube (he can work it better than me), and his treasured blanket (seriously, we don't go anywhere without it).

Favorite movies: Cars (all 3!), Ferdinand, Coco, Minions & Despicable Me movies, and Zootopia

Favorite foods: donuts, pizza, cookies, milk, yogurt, cauliflower, mac & cheese, Chikfila, all the carbs and sweets.

Brady dislikes: his feet being covered by anything other than socks, when it's raining, most fruits & veggies

Nicknames: Brady Joe, Delbert (thanks for that Dad), Papito, smiley, bubba, buddy

This past year Brady has gone on an airplane (to Florida), gone on a cruise (to the Yucatan and Cozumel), gone to the rodeo, and started a new preschool (which we LOVE).

The rodeo was such a fun time! And Brady got to visit his friends, the pigs!

In Florida, we went to our friend's Chris & Jaclyn's wedding, were Brady crashed their first dance on the dance floor - sorry guys!! But we had such a great time visiting the beach!

I was a little worried about taking a toddler on a cruise, but it went so well! There was always something for him to do and all kinds of things to entertain him. Plus my parents were there, which was a huge help. We had such a great time!!

Over Labor Day, we went to Port Aransas with Eric's family, where Brady finally touched the sand. He went through this weird phase where he wouldn't touch the sand because "no yike it". All good now though!

Brady has been so great throughout my recovery process. I still can't pick him up by bending from the hip yet - only if I squat to pick him up - and his little mind just can't process that, so that part has been hard for him. But overall, he has been amazing. He has gotten to spend a lot of time with his cousins and our family because of my recovery, so that's been fun for him. And we get to cuddle on the couch or in our bed, which I love. Year two was so much fun!! Hopefully year 3 will be just as fun, if not better!
