Happy 8 months to our sweet Brady boy!

Brady weighs 17 lbs, 9 oz and he still has only 2 teeth...almost 5. I swear those 3 on the top are SO CLOSE to coming in. He is teething constantly and they are just about to break through the gums! He is in size 3 diapers and wears size 6-9 month clothes, but wears some 9-12 month clothes depending on the brand/store. He looks so much bigger to me these days....I feel like I am noticing a big difference in his size since last month, especially his weight when I hold him. Maybe I just need to lift more weights...

Brady can now sit without assistance and loves to sit in the shopping cart! He likes to hold his bottle like a big boy and is on the verge of crawling any day now. He, of course, was sick this past month with a cold, but nothing that could take away this boy's smile. And he celebrated his 8 month birthday with a stomach bug which we are going through right now. It's awful. Brady sleeps through the night, but not consistently, and we are still working on sleeping in the crib every single night. It's definitely a work in progress. When he sleeps in his crib he sleeps on his tummy, which makes this first time mama very nervous! But our pediatrician has assured me that since he can roll over and lift his head well, then we have nothing to worry about. This kid hates sleeping on his back!

We are using baby sign language on a daily basis, but obviously Brady doesn't have the fine motor skills to use it himself yet. Brady has started eating pureed meats, which he actually loves...I was surprised. And he has also started mashed up foods, like banana and avocado. This baby boy LOVES his food, but loves his mama even more. He clings to me after daycare until bedtime and in any social situation.

We celebrated Brady's first Easter in San Antonio with Eric's family this year and we had a great time, even though Brady had no idea what was going on! We got to meet our new niece, Harper, visit with lots of family, and enjoy worship at Eric's parent's church.

Brady likes: eating, drinking from a straw, talking, riding in the shopping cart, rubber ducks, reading books, watching videos of himself, Snapchat, eating his feet, and fake coughing to get attention.

Brady dislikes: sleeping flat on his back and that he can't walk yet.

Brady is so happy 90% of the time and his smile lights up a room! I love that he brings people so much joy...we love you sweet boy!!
